Delete your Songwriter's Notebook account
This page is provided by Breakwater Labs LLC, the developer of Songwriter's Notebook. You can request deletion inside the app or from this page.
Request deletion in the app
- Open Songwriter's Notebook and sign in.
- Open Settings.
- Under your account, select Delete Account.
- Confirm Request Deletion.
Request deletion outside the app
Email us from the same email address used for your Songwriter's Notebook account. Include “Account Deletion Request” in the subject. We may ask you to verify account ownership before processing the request.

Deletion timeline
Deletion requests enter a 30-day grace period. An in-app request can be cancelled from Settings during that period. After the grace period, the automated deletion process permanently removes the account.
Data that is deleted
- Your Songwriter's Notebook sign-in account and profile.
- Songs you own, including their lyrics, metadata, versions, collaboration data, and associated audio recordings stored by the service.
- Your collaborator or viewer access to songs owned by other users.
Data that may be retained
- Content already incorporated into a song owned by another user may remain with that song.
- Purchase, tax, fraud-prevention, security, and transaction records may be retained when required for legal, accounting, dispute-resolution, or platform-integrity purposes.
- Limited backup copies and system logs may remain temporarily until routine retention cycles expire.
